Universal design

A Lakeview townhouse in Foster City, CA swapped outdated finishes for an elegant remodel of two bathrooms and a central fireplace. The master suite bathroom has been designed with principles of universal design to enable its functioning regardless of age, ability or situation. The improved layout includes a nine-foot stone clad bench and dual showers to accommodate client behavior patterns. The new layout emerged from collaborative design sessions with a septuagenarian user’s preferences and anthropometric measurements.
