Devi plaza

A new commercial building takes prominent place in the South Davis shopping plaza. Using an urban language that visually connects with adjacent buildings, building form follows the quadrant shape of its site. The west facing terraces with trellises shield interior spaces from the heat of the setting sun in summer. While the exterior pattern and colors were dictated by the Design Review committee at City of Davis, CA,  as well as the client, building design was applauded with a majority vote by the Davis Planning Commission at its first hearing.
