Competition winner

This design proposal was selected as the first place winner amidst submissions of a handful of architects invited by PSIEC in North India to participate in the design competition. The design of this commercial building was envisioned as a catalyst in the urban revitalization of a deteriorating industrial neighborhood in the state of Punjab. The site is located in the city of Ludhiana, known internationally for its small scale and export industries. The project brief and program included ground floor retail, bank and office services with light industrial and commercial on upper floors. Work spaces are distributed among four wings that emerged from a central core, designed to be flexible in use and connected to the outdoors.
