The City of San Francisco passed an ordinance that became law in 2021 requiring property owners and tenants to make their public entrances physically accessible. The building above was without features that accommodate people with disabilities, including people who use wheelchairs. To comply with the ABE (Accessible Business Entrance) program, the owner of this property on Haight Street hired Sandhya to conduct a survey of the existing the business entrances and to make recommendations for improved accessibility. Sandhya worked with many departments within SFDBI, including Public works, fire and food safety to get permit approvals. The entrances are currently under construction with Sandhya providing Construction Administration services. ABE program
